In case some of you missed my review of our cruise on the Norwegian Epic in January 2012, look for it. This review will be quite different. My husband who has to use a scooter on board ship due to lack of stamina from cancer treatments, got around the coral princess with ease. I cannot say enuf good things about special needs at sea...if you have need for scooters, etc they are great.embarkation was smooth and swift, we were in our cabin within minutes of coming on board relaxing and reviewing our ships map. Next stop, the buffet on deck 14... Great food and service! Our cabin, a mini suite was just perfection for 14 day cruise enuf space to store all our things w room to spare. Our cabin steward just awesome after a day he knew our rhythm and worked with it.

We enjoyed the horizon cafe for most meals but did have the champagne breakfast on Panama Canal day! Worth the $32 for the two of us! We also had breakfast rm service a few days...all excellent. There was most of the time for sea days plenty to do. The cruise director frank did a good job. Louisa, a massage therapist, finally fixed. Painful hip I've had for 6 months! The lotus spa is wonderful. We ate at the Bayou Cafe on my husbands birthday. The best service, food etc! Vlad our server and Adrienne the maitre d perfection, attentive without overdoing it. The two time see at in the Bordeaux dining room we didn't find the service or dining choices very good. Others felt the same. Sloppy service and not as attentive as you would hope for.

I was surprised to find two ports were "gateway" ports meaning you w/n really want to go ashore there without a tour group. The ports were commercial container ports and not as safe as you would want. Plus they were tendered which my husband could not do. We stayed aboard ship. We did enjoy transiting the panama canal a lot. Very interesting and enjoyed going ashore to Aruba, clean and friendly. Cartagena not so much...profound poverty and not as lovely. We took a tour but were not impressed.

Cabin Review

Cabin AA

Princess Cruises has got mini suites down pat! The closet space just great, a nice sized balcony and inside sitting area. Love the two t vs in the room. If one is sleeping the other person doesn't have to listen to the tv. We love these mini suites well worth the few extra dollars for a two week cruise!
