Staff overall was friendly and attentive, although slow at some times.
Ship wasnt overly crowded feeling except for debarkation on port day. Debarkation back to home port was a breeze with self debarkation and a passport (make sure to have a passport, it makes it faster).
Food in the Paris dining room for dinner was good. Breakfast, not so much and so we only tried it once.
Some of the shows were entertaining. The comedy club was especially funny.
We quite enjoyed the balcony, a must have on any future trips.
The casino was good overall, might need a table or two more of craps/roulette/bj, due to crowding.
This ship, primarily the cabins, is in dire need of a remodeling. We felt like we were timewarped into the 70's. The cabin was by far the ugliest part of the ship. Other parts of the ship were not as bad.
The pools were More terrible. They were small (maybe 10' X 20')and overrun with kids. Only a few times on the whole trip did I ever see adults in the pool and very few without their kids in at the same time. If Carnival were smart they would make a larger swim-up bar style pool for adults to hang out in. Since the pools were not good we, along with most other adults that wanted to get wet, hung out in the hot tubs even during the day. Good times there despite the hot water.
The food outside the Dining Rooms at night was not good unless you like Golden Corral.
The dealers at the craps table were not very good at their jobs. They were getting things wrong and paying the wrong people and sometimes wrong amounts. They became a little combative when confronted by the majority of people at the table at one time or another.
Debarkation for the port was not handled well by Carnival. I think if they did it floors it would have been much better. Instead we were all trapped on stairs/floors for about 45 mins waiting to get off. Debarkation back at home was much better with little wait time.
When you try to order a beer, the immediate response is always, "would you like a bucket?" No, I ordered one beer, I dont want four. But I think they are pushing more beer because each employee gets credit for selling. Less
