Sail Date: March 2012
Destination: Southern Caribbean
Embarkation: Other

First let me say I followed the reviews avidly and was very apprensive about going on the Dream. My fears were unfounded it was great, those paople who complain about anything are just looking for something to moan about.
Flight: In Manchester they put your cabin No. on your case and thats the last you see of it intil you are in your cabin. Arrival in Barbados, cruise passengers leave in aircraft first put on buses and straight to port, through immigration, Thomson card given and onto ship. Safety check was done within 3 hrs of us arriving.
Cabin: we were in outside plus with bath which was great, plenty of space, perhaps the cabin itself may be a little dated but exceptionly clean and our cabin boy Don-Don was very helpful.
Food & restaurants: Lido buffet & pool, plenty of everthing, couln't go hungry.
Sirens pool bar: same. Orion: waiter service, 5 courses if you want, we had a bottle of blossom hill red each night £12.95, the first couple of nights it More was a bit slow but after we were on Jay Jay and Gharlan's table and they couldn't do enough for us, they were great
Entertainment: Broadway show theatre: excellent shows and a comedian Tues & Fri. Ocean Bar: Drean Vibe are the group, who incidently were on the Spirit last year known as Prime Men. Dancing there too. also quizes Medusa Bar: girl and boy singers plus dancing. Argo Bar: Caribbean singers, Sun scape they were excellent too, therefore can't fault any of the entertainment plenty to choose from. Drinks prices not to bad about £3.50 for a spirit abit less for a beer we didn't take the al option for drinks.
Excursions: we did 3 St.Kitts, BVI, and Antiqua all had good guides, we choose the cheapest priced with thomson which were very good. St. Maarten, you catch the water taxi in to Philipsburgh, quaint little place. Dominica walked into Roseau very old place.
The day before you return they deliver all your paper work to your cabin so on the morning of your return 1 person of your family go down to the bar and have your immigration paper stamped so when you get to the airport you go straight through.
Barbados: we walked into Bridgetown in the morning about 30 mins found the beach which finished our cruise off nicely. The only problem was after 30 mins in the air we had to return because 1 hydraulic had failed (he has 3) waited in lounge for a couple of hours, some people getting very angry but safety comes first. We were taken to the Hilton hotel which was fab it was 10 at night so we had room service meal great, breakfast, lunch. Thomson allowed us $200 each but no alcohol and couldn't fault what thomson did for us at all.Still a bit of delay when we got to the airport as the part was late getting in from Luton. In Manchester 7.50am Tues instead of 6.20am Mon but we had an extra day in Barbados luxury. But unfortuneately stuck in baggage area for 2 hrs 10 mins scanning you before you leave the airport.
All in all we had a wonderful cruise and would advise anyone if you are thinking of going on the Dream - GO. It is excellent value for money with no gratuities to pay Less
