For those who want to read a brief summary, the cruise was good based on the itinerary, food, entertainment, and staff. The cruise was bad based on the physical conditions of the Star and some of the daily activities. The cruise was ugly based on the lousy Internet connection and the apparent misrepresentation of the Internet service by NCL, and the debarkation fiasco.
For those wanting more detail: The embarkation of the cruise went smoothly for our family of 5, of which we had 3 balcony cabins. Being platinum Latitudes member was a factor for the ease of embarkation.
This was my 3rd time on the NCL Star during the past 10 years. This wasn't really planned but just happened based on choice of itineraries, i.e., Hawaii, Mexican Riviera, and the Western Caribbean.
