ENJOYABLE AND GOOD VALUE
EMBARKATION

It is not worth booking boarding passes on line. We would have boarded more quickly through the normal channel and the waiting time was only about 10 mins.

CABINS

Perfectly adequate space and well attended by the cabin steward. The special offer laundry service at 20 euros for 30 items is worth taking.

EATING

It is worth ordering breakfast in the cabin and then topping up at the buffet or Red Velvet Restaurant. We did not try them, but reports from other people suggested that the speciality restaurants were not worth paying for. We never had a bad meal in the Red Velvet.

DRINKS

We paid 180 euros for a drinks package for 1 PERSON. That gave us drinks and water by the glass for both of us in the buffet and bottles of wine, water etc. in the Red Velvet, any leftovers we took back to the cabin. That turned out to be good value.

SHORE EXCURSIONS

We arranged our own for a fraction of the organised tours. It's easy to do and much more fun. If you go to Rome, visit the Castle D'Angelo, just down the road from the Vatican, for the best coffee and overall view of the city.

TRAVEL

We got ripped off with the BA flights as a package. Far cheaper to book the cruise and fligts seperately.
