Embarkation: Incredible 7 long minutes ;-)
Ship: Fabulous ! So many public places that you think the ship is half empty. So many chairs that at any time, you can find a place under the sun near a pool. Central park with it's restaurants, cafes and terraces is my preferred place. Royal promenade so large. The two flowriders and climbing walls, WOW. Even 2 closed places to play tennis table.
State Room: Very nice, large and comfortable.
Food: A little disappointment. Not that it's not good but not to my expectations. In the main dinning room, the food is a little above average. The menu is a bit repetitive with always the same vegetables, poor shrimp cocktail. Great beef quality and average deserts. Giovani's table has highs and lows. Scallops slowly cooked (not the good way) and really gigantic shrimps (frozen and overcooked)Great antipasti and deserts. Pastas above average. Izumi has very good sushi but very limited menu for lunch. Park cafe offers made to order salads and great paninis that you can take out. RCC has always the best buffet quality. Breakfast are always the same and a bit deceiving. At the royal promenade, great sandwitchs at the cafe and good pizza.
As food is very important in my trips, I always make long critics about it. Having sailed on 3 RCCL, 3 Norwegian and 1 Carnival, my ratings goes like this: Carnival 8.5/10, NCL: 8/10 and RCCL 7.5/10
Service: I think that every employee I met had a great smile and were so friendly. They look like they are proud to work on that ship.
Casino: For Poker players, 3 pokerpro tables. The good thing is that the customers decide on the blinds and limits, just have to ask.
Entertainment:OK but not as good on Carnival. Really great Beatles show. The come fly with me show has to much dancing and not enough acrobatics the same problem for the diving show. The Ice skating show is the worst of Freedom's and Liberty's. I was missing music shows in the puclic places there were every where on Carnival Freedom.
Disembarkation: Not as good ad the embarkation having only 2 exits available.
