Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Very quick and easy, very pleasant. We were on the ship in no time. At 1pm you are able to go to your cabin. Luggage is delivered a little later, just make sure that shorts and bathingsuit are with you so you could enjoy the beautiful Miami sun right away.
Rooms: We were in a Conceirge Room, 8086. Very clean. Fresh flowers, bottle of champagne, fresh fruit, beautiful Balcony. Lots of room to store luggage, and plenty of space to hang clothes in closet and drawers space. Small snack delivered to the room everyday. To end the day off a turndowned bed with a chocolate.
Food: More Upon arrival on the ship they offer a buffet lunch which was very good. We did have the buffet everyday for breakfast and lunch. The first morning we did the breakfast in the MDR and it was ok, as soon as you sit someone is there with coffee, another with jucie, another with a danish, and that was nice, but I liked the buffet in the Oasis because I could choose whatever I wanted without having to think of ordering every little thing. If you were out on one of the islands and arrive late and hungry there was always something to eat, pizza, salad, and poolside was the best hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. We ate in the MDR for dinner everynight, our waitstaff was wonderful, Nely, Param, wine Manish and beer and drinks, Anthony, they were fantastic! The food was good some days better than others, but if you did not like something they would just bring you something else, can't decide between two appetizers, they will bring you both. Always took Nely's recommedations, he was always on point. The meals were always served gourmet style, beautiful presentations, and elegant. The Brunch that they had the last day at sea was great. Everything to choose from and my favorite, alot of beautiful desserts. We did do the tour of the kitchen, here we met all the chefs on board, and they gave us a tour of the kitchen, beautiful and spotless, it started off with champagne and ended with chocolate covered strawberries. A tour not to miss.
Ship: She is beautiful, she is going into dry dock next month and she will be even more beautiful. The public bathrooms were beautiful and always clean.
Ports: Our ports were Roatan, Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico.
Roatan: Kind of poor, we did do the Glassbottom Boat Tour which was ok, enjoyed the other part of the tour and not so much the boat tour. They did bring us to the other side of the island, which was beautiful, that is where you need to be when going on this island.
Cozumel: Absolutely beautiful Island. We did the Cozumel Island Tour, this tour took us to the Tequila factory for a tequila tasting, an island tour, and then to Playa Mia Beach to relax, what a beautiful beach. The tour was on an air conditioned bus with a fabulous tour guide. Very beautiful and well kept island.
Entertainment: We did not do any of the shows in the theatre we enjoyed hanging out in the lounge they had a fantastic pianist.
Overall: We had a great time on this cruise, very relaxing. Cruising is the way to go on a vacation. You don't have to think, making reality kind of hard to come back to. Absolutely beautiful Cruise! One thing that I kept going back and forth on was the drink package. I did decide not to do it and felt that I made the right decision for us. We did have a glass of wine at dinner each night and did have drinks after dinner, drinks by the pool, water bottles and still ended up spending alot less than the pkg would be. I feel that if I did get the package that I would drink more to make it worthwhile and it was not necessary. Lemonade, fruit punch, iced tea, water, coffee and tea are provided all day, near the pool and near the buffet areas. Ice cream and cookies are also offered all day in the Oasis. Was very impressed to find out in the kitchen tour that all the breads are made fresh 3 times a day right on the ship, and when they say fresh, they mean it.
