The Equinox is in the top 3 in many categories and rightfully so.
The average on board age appeared to be about 60 years old and one would think the music theme focus would be oldies ,show tunes and maybe Frank Sinatra ,but it was all over the lot with very little emphasis on the music of our time. The group that was most popular with the majority of the guests was 'Top Self' who only performed 15 minutes a session !Why ? I could have listened to that group for hours .The comedy was weak .On the whole, the entertainment was very weak.
The beverage card with spirits and coffee was a big plus .A dinning table mate added that on Carnival (the red neck cruise line) their idea of a beverage package was getting 5 beers in a bucket for the price of 4 !
The food was very good ,but not excellent .The ''all out buffet'' in the dinning room was a pleasant surprise and worth going to .
The Tuscan restaurant is a must ,superior service and the best food on the ship ,( sorry Aqua class diners ).
Celebrity passengers are a classy bunch ,very few yahoos .They were polite ,appeared to be educated and you often got the "good morning" @ breakfast.
The staff tried to please ,however @ times there was a communication problem that was fixed by a small tip .
The martini bar was outstanding with the entertainment from the bartenders.
The highlight of the cruise was the hotdogs and hamburgers!
Met some wonderful people who will be friends forever.
