We enjoyed our Celebrity cruise last year in January and decided to "Eclipse" one more time. The Eclipse is a Beauty!!! Tastefully decorated ,modern ,Super Immaculate and accomadating.Our Service was ecellent Rooms cleaned and linens changed daily .Porters were courteous and timed our empty cabin perfectly.
Dining in the main restaurant was a pleasure. Waiter was always up,humourous , had a quick wit and always pleasant. We requested open dining but were wait listed as we made late cruise reservations. The Lady Maitre de gave us empty promises and never came through. 1 star to her. From our view point and that of a head waiter Celebrity needs to work on their skills here Open seating was wide open to almost 7:30 and sparsely attended. NCL wins this service with a 5 star . The food quality slipped from a year ago but still very good.
One Port excursion in PR... OLD/NEW PR was a bummer. Guide was very difficult to understand and for the price not a value at all.
Stateroom was just enough with excellent storage, roomy bath, and very clean. Again our late reservation caused us a balcony with an obstructed view. Celebrity not to blame but Travel agent never told us.
Entertainment Fair...Lecturer Al Goldis on Basebaal was excellent...Celebrity crew Talent show was great and the closing Male singer would win any TV talent show hands down. He hit it out of the ship. Embarkation and Disembarkation sweet, swift, pleasant what more can I say??? We'll be back.
