Okay well to start we live semiclose to Baltimore so we left our house at 8:45am got there by 10:30am but they would let us park until aboout 12:15. We sat in the car in line until they started letting people through as they need to wait for the prior cruise folks to debark.
Get SeaSickness?
Transoderm is a patch you can get from the doctor if you get or think you may get seasick but one thing to note it creates SEVERE dry mouth, yes severe!
CAMP CARNIVAL
Camp Carnival was great!!!
TRAVELING WITH KIDS? WHAT TO BRING:
Well we packed the entire medicine cabinet (almost) and needed the allergy medicine and pain reliever several times and pepto bismol too. The only thing I forgot that we needed was ear drops for an ear infection. Our daughter got water in her ear and was in a lot of pain for several hours. Also bring a small boogie board, sand toys, small nintendods of some sort, crayons and coloring book. Dont foget the sunblock and maybe some snacks, lollipops, gum, crackers or juice boxes to keep in your room! That turned to be a big help too for the kids.
The staff on the ship is very friendly! One night we saw some dolphons swimming alongside the ship that was pretty neat too for the kids to see!
The Serenity (Adults Only) pool (back of the ship) is nice too but hard to get a seat. The water slide was fun also. 42" or higher to ride.
I really wish they had some more live music like Calypso bands playing. I think Carnival just changed this last week and now just have one man bands or a DJ. The Comedy Shows were GREAT. Even the Family-Friendly shows. The 4 and 5 year olds were hysterical and really emjoyed them!
