RCCL you know how to please...

Sail Date: February 2012
Destination: Southern Caribbean
Embarkation: San Juan

Boarded the Adventurer of the Seas early Sunday afternoon Feb 19 ....wow RCCL
you have to get the port San Juan more organized...Being a Diamond member quickly saw a preferred luggage check in and looked for the preferred check in line (was hard to even see past 100s of people waiting to board....Hugged the side of the building and found NO line and actually checked in less than 5 minutes...WHAT A PERK!

Once on board, checked our balcony cabin and headed for the 19th hole....to meet our bartender(Orlando) in the Diamond lounge for the week ...Had a GREAT table next to the captain's in dining room our server (Anthony) was a GEM and the head waiter(Pedro)was the best...We drove the poor man crazy...but laughed all 7 days as he got us an invite to sit at the captain's table...what a plus! Had a bit of a problem at breakfast couldn't find a place to sit so had to cozy up to a few people sitting at a large table...vowed there must be a better way...again thanks to our Diamond More status went to the Diamond dining room and were catered to for the rest of the week.

As for cabin location ...I prefer balcony cabins for the beautiful views
have stayed in them on the three different versions of RCCL ships...all basically the same (not much different E or D)
Great to watch the sun rise and set...and gives your cabin an airy feeling.
I usually choose forward higher cabins since we only go down stairs occasionally (dinner or disembarking) Easier to walk up or down a floor then wait for elevators!
One other plus... mornings...you can watch the captain steer the ship into port if you stay high and forward...

We decided on a snorkel cruise from St Kitt to Nevis on the Eagle a beautiful catamaran. Boy what a FUN trip.....I don't think anyone on that boat had a bad time...the crew was GREAT and the people all got to be friends for the rest of the cruise! WOW! did that turn out to be a party(and it was on FAT TUESDAY) all of you on board...the dancing and fun we had will NEVER be forgotten..it was a BLAST! Remember some of us got some great pics of all of you!

Other highlights of the cruise besides the beautiful islands of St Thomas,Aruba, and Curacao were the famed belly flop contest and Love and Marriage show hosted by our cruise director who was absolutely hysterical! Well NO complaints except for the port checkin/debarking which was a bit long and tedious...
All in all a great cruise!

If you stay in San Juan pre/post cruise...
Stay in the Condado Area ...lovely and convenient to everything.
Great walking, shopping, hotels and restaurants...you can even see the
ships coming and going. Less
