We were very disappointed with our cruise this time. We have taken the 3 and 4 day cruises from LA and found the entertainment and the food was fabulous. There was always a much greater difference in selection in the food in the Windjammer and the Jade Room, the chocolate night was much tastier, and the talent was better on the Monarch. This time on Vision the same food was served in the Windjammer as in the main dining room except for the lobster and shrimp night which was the only night we ate there. Not worth dressing up for. At that time it seemed our waiter told us how much he deserved the tips we could leave him because he was in charge of the other waiters as well. If we had known the food was not that good and the waiter was like that we would have not eaten there at all and not paid our tips in advance. We would have given more to our room attendant because he was super. Buying the passport booklet was not worth it either.

It was hard to find some of the stores even with the map and Puerto Vallarta was a nightmare to shop. Taxi's were suppose to be $3.00 a person on the way to shopping and $5.00 a carload on the way back but we paid the $3.00 a person both ways. The entertainers might have been good if you could hear them sing. The band was way too loud and it was hard to hear the words to the songs. We must say the cruise director was multi-talented though. He did everything from emcee all the different activities to sing.

We would not cruise on the Vision on the Seas again. We would go on the 3 or 4 day cruises on the Monarch though. We are looking at cruise to Alaska but will check into another ship as the Vision also sails there. We think it would be nice to see some other activities for the older people to do as well when they are out at sea. Not everyone can afford to gamble all day and not all 50's plus like bingo. We got a very good deal as far as price for the cruise and that is about all we can say for it this time.
