Being our first cruise with Princess we tried to fairly compare this vessel with our previous 20 cruises. We found this ship to be well maintained, beautifully decorated, and well run. Our cabin seemed just a little small but was more than adequate as well as the balcony, which we use a lot on all cruises.
The staff members throughout the ship were professional and helpful. Jandri, our head server in the MDR, was truly the most outstanding staff member we've ever encountered on any ship. Unfortunately we found the food in the MDR, though good, was not as good as we've found on X, HAL and even CCL. Needless to say, we did not go hungry and the whole issue of food on a ship is understandably subjective.
We found the entertainment to be good. The shows in the main theatre were fine but not as good as those on X and CCL.
Having been to Curacao and Aruba several times previously, we were looking forward to our day at Princess Cay. The ship was unable to make this stop!
We would easily cruise on another Princess ship in the future though we'd want to try one of the larger ships.
