We were a group of six; four seniors and two in their 40's, all first time cruisers. We spent our first night at the Hale Koa and then three nights at Disney's Aulani post cruise. We loved this cruise!
We ate in Skyline once and Lazy J Steak House twice. We had breakfast most often in the Cadillac Diner. We felt the Skyline food quality was a bit lacking but service and ambiance was great! We were a little disappointed in the quality of the steaks in Lazy J but were told the ship could not possibly "store" aged meat for extended periods of time for so many people thus quality suffered. We had the "Kona" lobsters (farm raised Maine lobsters in Kona) and they were excellent! The $25 up charge for the restaurant plus another $20 for the lobster was steep but worth it to us. I'm used to paying $60 for similar quality at Disney so do have some comparison experience in this area. For the most part we felt the Aloha Cafe had the best variety and quality.
As a whole we thought the entertainment was great. Bud the comedian was great as was the group called "Oh What a Night." The ship's comedy routine "spoofs" on Newlywed (Old) Game and Beat the Clock were hilarious and we all laughed 'til the tears rolled.
This was the best Obstructed Ocean View room (along with 7552 and 7556) as the life boat in front of our window was smaller than the others and set back away from the window thus giving us a decent view.
