Best Birthday ever!!!

Sail Date: February 2012
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

I have just had a wonderful holiday on the Emerald Princess. After a change in the flights the day before, due to the good old English weather, we finally arrived on board in good time.

This is only our 2nd cruise both with the Princess Cruises, from the moment you arrive at the port we love the slick way they get us processed and into our cabins, we had a balcony, everything we needed was there. We visited, Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados,St Thomas, St Kitts. and Finished in Princess Cays. Every port was wonderful, we swam with the turtles in Barbados on my birthday, and finished off on the island of Princess Cays leaving us relaxed. The food on board, the staff, the information, everything was organised so well. We had a little medical emergency, and even this was dealt with 1st class. We have had 2 great Cruises with Princess, we have great expectations of any other cruise we may go on. Less

Cabin review: Emerald Princess Oceanview Double with Balcony Baja

We find the beds very large and comfortable, plenty of hanging space, could do with a few more hangers. bathrooms adequate. Very very quiet, slept very well. Spick and Span.

As this was our first visit to any Caribbean island, to land here was everything i had imagined it would be, the turquoise water, white sand and colourful houses were brill. We went on a 4X4 tour of the island and our guide, Colin was very imformative.

Turtle Swim

What an excellent day. The trip wasn't expensive and it was great. Out on a Catamaran giving you a lovely view of the little coves, we stopped and given snorkel mask and life vest, and into the water we went, there were lots of Turtles to touch, got some lovely photos. Then had 45minutes on the beach before getting back to the ship. A magic day.

Again a typical Caribbean island, my 2nd best place. Straight off the ship and you are there in the middle of it all, lots of shopping, pubs, places to eat. so much atmosphere here, very friendly people, had a lovely day.

A little dissapointed with St Lucia, we felt that we probably missed the best side of it, but we went on a 2 hour taxi ride, and did see some lovely beaches, but i believe there was more to see.

St Thomas Port is a very busy place. Took a taxi to the Cable Car for a lovely view of the island, than a lovely walk along the waterfront to the market, there is one main road to both these things, so be very careful crossing the road. A good market got lots of pressies.
