My 3rd cruise alone after my wife passed away in 2009. I decided to give RCI a spin after several cruises on Holland-America and last year on Carnival Dream. It is tough to find a decent price when you travel alone. I selected a Promenade stateroom on Deck 8 midship.....not a bad selection.

Departure was not as bad as one review stated. Arrived at Terminal 29 at 12:10 pm. Was on board at 12:48. Room were ready by 1:30 pm with suitcase by 4 pm. Muster drill was efficient and we were sailing!

Nutcracker dining room on deck 3, table 353. Sat with 8 others - very enjoyable. I have always had good table mates; it certainly adds to the pleasure of cruising.
