For my husband Steve and I this was our first ever cruise. As we are wheelchair users we were apprehensive about booking this kind of vacation. But there was no need to be.
From the moment we arrived at Port Everglades we were treated with respect. We were shown to our stateroom which exceeded our expectations. It was twice the size of a regular cabin with extra wide doorways and a ramp into the bathroom with a walk-in shower. I had booked an electric wheelchair from a local Miami company and this was waiting for me when we arrived. From the moment we met our stateroom steward - Arnold - he was kind and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The little extras such as the chocolate left on your pillow each night made it that extra bit special.
My husband and I had chosen to go 'Anytime' dining which meant that we could choose when and with whom we wanted to eat with. Some nights we ate by ourselves on others we ate with my parents. Princess are the only cruise line to offer this dining option at present.
