Hello, After reading the mixed reviews on Carnival and especially the Dream we went into this cruise with an open mind and were blown away. We had such a great experience and will definitely cruise with Carnival again. The staff went above and beyond especially in the dining room and staterooms.
We stayed in Orlando the night before(due primarily to New England weather) and went to Universal it was very easy to get from our hotel in Orlando to the Cruise port and Avis who we rented our car form dropped us off right at the terminal. Getting on and off the boat was quick and easy.
The boat itself is massive and took a little bit to get used to. The food was good and on par with what we were expecting. Not fine dining but delicious and if it were a restaurant off the ship a place we would go back. There was so much to eat between the buffets, pasta bar and grills that we didn't even get to try everything. There was a lot to do on the boat for our group. We never had any trouble getting into the comedy clubs but there were lines before each shows-the late night R rated shows were hilarious. There were enough bars so that we could try a different one every night and really enjoyed the Piano Bar.
We thought we were going to be spending time in the adult only sections but there was no pool which was one of the only let downs on the boat. The water slides were fun and even on sea days the lines were not bad. We were on the cruise for the Superbowl( let down being from Boston) and they played it on the upper deck on the big screen and had free raffles that kept everyone entertained.
Our interior stateroom was small but enough space for the two of us. It was very clean and our steward always kept the wine(while it lasted) that we were allowed to bring on chilled. We stopped in Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Costa Maya. All the ports were beautiful and had a lot to offer.
Overall this was a great and very memorable trip for all six of us and we will definitely be cruising again. Sorry if this is long winded this is my first review and I don't want to leave anything out.
