We boarded the Ecstasy on January 2, 2012 expecting a wonderful experience and top service. From the moment we arrived at the dock, it felt like we were boarding a floating greyhound bus. The terminal was tiny with luggage collected in a parking lot. I'll admit, the check in process was quick, easy and friendly.

Once on the ship, we were bombarded with servers offering drinks - I'd guess we had one every 1-2 minutes trying to sell us drinks, even when we HAD drinks in our hands. It was a turn off from the beginning. If you plan on drinking lots, the servers' insistence would be great, but at $8/drink it gets pricey.

The food service on board was a gross disappointment. The Lido deck buffet served the same food every day (burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, and hot dogs). Breakfast selections were scarce and again, the same food every day (most of which was inedible). With these food options getting old quickly, eating became a thing to do only when in port.
