This was my first cruise, my husbands second. We were on our honeymoon. I have to say that 1st off, the waters were very rough and sea sickness was definately there - especially the first night.
Cabin - we had a junior suite with a balcony - it was very nice - alot more roomy than I thought. Bathroom was (expectedly) tiny but had a tub so it was roomier than just a shower. Bed was not very comfortable.
Food - so, so. NOT what I expected since everyone talks about how AWESOME "cruise ship" food is. The buffett was less than average (taste wise) but there was plenty of food, drink, and service. Dinner was usually in the restaurant at our appointed time - we enjoyed meeting the other guests. Dress up night was fun. Room service is 24 hours and it's FREE - need I say more?
Crew - very helpful - very nice.
Activities - lacking. We went to a show, which was "OK". The daily activities consisted of "trvia games" and such....not my cup of tea.
Bahamas - AWESOME!! Be careful not to buy "sight seeing" excursions on the ship - we paid $100 to be flopped around in a van by a local pointing out the 'attractions'. It was a waste of money. Shopping and dinner on our own was GREAT.
Coco Cay - AWESOME!!!!!! We couldn't stop the first day because the seas were too rough so we stopped the 3rd day instead. The island is very relaxing - food was 'so so' as it is owned by Royal Carribbean and food is cooked by the same folks on the ship.
In a nutshell - it was good first experience for me. I do wish to go back but I know what to expect next time. We may go back if we want a relaxing cruise instead of more activities.
