Ship Facts: Oasis of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Oasis of the Seas Deck Plans
Had a Great time on the Oasis
We saild on the 2/4 sailing to Haiti, Jamaica, and Mexico. We stayed on the 14th floor and loved being up this high on the ship. This worked out well for us as we could see forever from our balcony and sat out quite a few mornings as we pulled into port and also a few evenings just reading before dinner. We ordered room service a few times as well and enjoyed it from the balcony. Loved having our room only one deck under the pool deck as well so that we could just take the stairs one floor up and be at the pool. This is where we spend the most of our time on vacation and found this to be really wonderful!

For the stops:

We spent the day on the beach in Labadee and did not choose to do any of the other activities there. We had a wonderful time just relaxing, renting the $12 water mats to lay in the ocean with, and enjoying the buffet lunch the ship brings ashore. It was so beautiful just laying there and enjoying the day. Of course we did have the Labadozee's...... a must try if you like frozen drinks.

We did a snorkel and Dunns River Falls tour in Jamaica. We paid alot of money for the tour and felt that we did not get the value for our money on this tour like we have on other trips in other countries as the snorkeling was only OK and not too exciting. The Dunns River Falls climb was Awesome and totally worth the trip. After both of those activities, we were taken to a spot for lunch and the buffet was not good at all. One of the people we were with ended up sick and missed dinner staying in bed. I will say we still had plenty of rum punch and the boat ride from the snorkel sites to the Falls was fun with dancing and music, but again, what we paid for this tour was not worth it.

In mexico we did the double snorkel stop and beach visit. We paid 1/2 the price for this tour as the Jamaica tour and we LOVED THIS. The price was completly worth it! We snorkeled at 2 stops and the fish and animals we saw were awesome! The coral was really nice and the water was clear blue! We then were given bottled water, soda, margarita's, rum punch, etc at no extra cost and were dropped off at a local resort. We were given a nice lunch and then told we could drink all we wanted to for the next 2 hours, swim, use the aqua park with blow up slides and such, and lay on the beach at no cost. Everything was paid for. It was awesome. We enjoyed the ocean and Pina Colada's. After 2 hours and plenty to drink we ended up back on the catamaran and then we had the music cranked up and everyone danced the entire way back to port. We all agreed that the crew and the tour itself was the BEST we did all week and the best i have ever been on for the value. It was $69 USD and everything was included. We left a BIG tip for the crew when we left and so did everyone else as the trip was awesome.

All tours we booked were through the cruise line.

Now, for the ship:

We loved our balcony room as I already mentioned. We also loved everything about the ship. My favorite spot was Central park. You really will not believe you are at sea as you stroll through the park. The Park Cafe here with fresh salads, sandwiches, and fresh fruit was also awesome! My favorite lunch spot!

The boardwalk was home to my favorite clothing store on board and also the Aqua Theatre which was amazing. The diving show was great. What a neat set up. An area more for kids though.

I also loved the Royal Promenade and all the shopping and bars. There was also great parades and entertainment here just like other ships but so much bigger!

All of the shows were fabulous, but Hairspray and the ice show Frozen in time were my favorites. The comedians were great too! Do the Jewelry making class, its free and you get to make a necklace, bracelet, and earrings to take with you home.

Also, try flowrider and any of the other activities you are comfortable with as they are all fun, fun, fun.

We ate in the main dining room every night nad thought our waiter, assistant waiter, and the food were all fabulous!!!!!!!!! We ate breakfast in our room, at the solarium, or at the windjammer and we had NO issues at all with anything. I also had donuts from the boardwalk one morning and we thought they were good. Lunch we had at the Wipe Out cafe by the pool or the Park Cafe like I mentioned above. We did eat Pizze at sorrentos as well several times later in the day as a snack as we did the 8:30 seating for dinner and liked to have a snack in the afternoon. Everything was GREAT! There was no bad food or bad meal had by us!

To summarize: GO GIVE IT A TRY. See the biggest ship ever and enjoy yourself. But be warned- you WILL NOT get to do everything. Just pick the things you want the most and forget the rest until another trip as there is just TOO much to do in one week.

The service was the best, the entertainment was great, the food was perfect...nothing to complain about at all.

We will be heading back to a smaller ship next year, but had a great time on the Oasis.
