After 4 trips on the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore, we decided to try RCCL on the Enchantment of the Seas.

Left home in South Jersey at 9:30 a.m. Arrived at the port in Baltimore around 11:00. Drove right up, luggage was off loaded, drove around parking lot, paid for parking and parked very near terminal. Check-in was a breeze. Line was not too long and we were walking on to the ship around 11:45. Went right up to Windjammer for lunch. No problem finding a table. After lunch, wandered out onto the pool deck. We were very lucky that it was such a nice day, considering it was the end of January. At 1:30, they announced that the rooms were ready. We were in a Junior Suite #8616. Very close to the elevators and stairs.

When we arrived at our room, luggage was already there. Cabin was a good size with plenty of storage. We had a coffee pot, pot for hot water, mini fridge, flat screen TV and safe. Seattle's Best coffee was provided, along with creamer and sweeteners. Decent sized bathroom with bathtub. Only shampoo provided in the pump dispenser in the shower. There were small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion and shower gel below the sink that were replenished as needed. Balcony had 2 chairs and a small table. Muster drill was at 3:00 -- they do cross your name off a list as you report to your muster station. After muster drill returned to room to unpack. We had the late seating for dinner -- at 8:30. Went to Schooner Bar before dinner. Arrived in MDR and found our table on the 2nd floor of My Fair Lady. It was set for 4 people, but we never had any tablemates. Our waitress, Irene, was from South Africa and very friendly. By the 2nd night, she already knew what type of wine I wanted with dinner. Service in the MDR was really good. It was never very crowded -- they were always a lot of empty tables.
