This was the 4th cruise for my husband and I-- three with RCI and one on the Celebrity Solstice. This was our first time on the Southern Caribbean itinerary.

Pre-Cruise

We arrived in San Juan around 4:30pm on Thursday and decided to cab to our hotel, the Intercontinental Hotel and Resort. It's about a $11 cab ride, plus $1 for each piece of luggage. I had won the hotel on Priceline. Check-in was fantastic and we were given a room on the 15th floor. The grounds of the hotel are very well taken care of, with a large pool area, swim-up bar, and 2 patios for drinks. You can also walk right out to the beach from the hotel. There is also a Ruth Chris' Steakhouse, Japanese, and Italian restaurant inside the hotel.
