The theme of this cruise seems to be disorganization and if this had been my first cruise it would be my last. The ship is poorly maintained and not in good shape. There are chairs in the atrium that most people would have tossed, paint is chipping etc. Beyond that, however, the daily tasks are not done promptly. Things like clean tables on lido deck, service restrooms etc are not done as quickly as in the past.
Shows are mediocre. We did enjoy some of the comedy shows but some of them were also stale and repeats of previous cruises.
It is chaotic getting on and off this ship. We got to the port about 11am and did not get on the ship until sometime after 1:30. Even shore excursions are poorly organized. Tendering was awful; announcements were made that people with Carnival shore excursions would be on the first few tenders but that was not the case.
Repeatedly, it was announced that the new slides would be available for us to use on this cruise. The only people that got to use the slides were a production crew filming a commercial and Carnival staff. It was working well for them but guests were never able to use it. The production crew also monopolized the Serenity Deck on several days.
Activities were not planned as frequently as other cruises. While shore excursions were good, the process of getting on/off the ship was tedious and disorganized.
We enjoy watching movies but the same ones were shown over and over. They need to get some updates on movies.
We still had fun but things need drastic improvements.
