A relaxing cruise due to lack of port stops ,which we enjoyed, apart from missing The Falklands stop,Which was to have been the highlight of the cruise for me
1. to use Margaret Thatchers phrase 'It may only be sheep grazing land but its OUR (Britain's ) sheep Grazing land......and being a passionate Brit a very important part of our Empire as small as it now is ,and I was looking forward to seeing that small part of Britain and all the Penguins were an added attraction
2,Was it a health threat or was it political that's the question ,we were told it was a health threat but only 85 people out of a compliment of almost 4000 had nurovirus but then thee were 175 Argentinians on board, all very eager o put foot on 'their Malvina's and after all Prince William was due there in 10 days,
Perhaps we'll never know !!!!
Nurovirus....... this meant the food at buffets was restricted and had to be served by staff .......a real pain which we concluded that Celebrity Cruises had better choice and variety of food. However evening set dining was on an equal footing.
Entertainment . Excellent Better than Celebrity and Greg the magician with his teaching classes was brilliant and revitalised my dabbling in the world of magic
The shows were excellent and the evening Atrium entertainment was unbeatable especially the Argentinian Dancers 'wow' should they be on Strictly Come Dancing or what >>>>>>>>>>> I'd like to hear what Craig Revel-Hall would say about them
Disembarkation was excellent
It was good on the whole and we'll be back that's for sure and thanks to all the excellent staff who served us, listened to us moan, looked after our every whim
and thanks to our Table mates Walter and Linda from Manchester and Richard and Sue form Long Beach who were fabulous company.
Montevideo a very nice clean City a policeman on every corner meant that they
didn't want there valued tourism frightened by the local bad element and made one feel very safe. Excellent.
Rio.
an excellent city tout taking in Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf an unforgettable experience
