We booked our cruise based on the ports. Embarkation was a breeze. Arrived at the dock with friends at 11:30 and they were in their cabin by 12:00. Unfortunately, we had to go park our car at Premier Parking and that tied us up for quite a while. We do not recommend this company. At any rate, we were in our cabin with our luggage by 1:00. Everything was very smooth and very well organized.
Eurodam is a lovely, understated ship. After sailing with NCL and Carnival, we think this was the nicest ship.
We booked a VH guarantee and got upgraded to a VA. We were on the 7th deck, fore, starboard. Our statement was lovely, with plenty of storage and a nice verandah with 2 chairs and 2 tables (one small, one big enough for room service tray). There was a slight noticeable vibration but not enough to bother us or to complain about. I think all the ships we have been on vibrated somewhat. Our stewards were Nina and Gusti and were wonderful. They were very unobtrusive but always ready with a smile and a conversation when they saw us.
There was plenty of entertainment both during the day and at night. We chose to relax most of the time during our days at sea (2) but I did attend the kitchen tour (pretty basic) and a cooking demonstration of the Le Cirque dinner as well as several of the afternoon teas. Night time entertainment varied. The "Eurodam Singers and Dancers" work hard with what they have. Some shows were better than others. Piano bar was lots of fun - sunset in the Crow's Nest was always great - including happy hour where it is buy one, get one for $1. The Ocean Bar had some good music also. It was easy to find something for everyone.
Lido deck is disorganized but once we got the idea of 'busy times' it worked better for us. Don't go at 9am or noon. We didn't have dinner there. Room service was wonderful and always timely. Main dining room (we chose free style dining) was very good. Only waited for a table one night which was formal night. We made a reservation for the second formal night which was honored. We did agree to sit with others at the table which I'm sure helped.
Half Moon Cay is WONDERFUL!!!
Disembarkation - we took our own bags off and we were off the ship by 8:10a.m.
