Just as background, we are a British couple in our 30s who travelled on NCL for the first time, following a very enjoyable first ever cruise on the Carnival Magic last year, so the Norwegian Jade had much to live up to.

We had 9 fabulous nights on board, out of Barcelona, visiting Madeira and the Canaries. We booked through Virgin Cruises, who had a great price, but we had a few problems with them ahead of the cruise (perks we had been told were included not in documentation) and on arrival (transfer from airport had not been booked for us).
