This was our second time on the Star Princess but our first trip to the Eastern Caribbean. Precruise we stayed at the Embassy Suites on 16th street. Unfortunately we had a street view room and would never stay here again unless we get a room with another view.

Dining -- We had traditional early seating and our waiter Adrian was always helpful and friendly. This time we opted to eat more often in the dinning room for lunch and were happy with the selections provided and enjoyed the food more than the horizon court buffet. We also ate at Sabatini's one evening excellent once again. For breakfast we found the omelet station and one of us brought food back to the cabin for a balcony breakfast or we would order room service.

Ports -- San Juan was a complete waste of time since we didn't arrive until 8:30 PM. In St. Thomas we booked the an excursion and kayaked the mangroves. This was a lot of fun. After kayaking to a beach we were able to snorkel in the preserve. This was a half day excursion so we were able to shop in the morning. Tortola- we just took a cab to Brewers Bay and enjoyed a quiet peaceful day at an uncrowded beach. We brought our own snorkel gear and were able to see some fish along the rocks. Princess Cays was another good beach day. We rented a cabana which allowed me some shade oceanfront to keep an eye on the kids.
