Carnival Magic 22 Jan 2012 sailing:

This was our second sailing out of Galveston. Our first sailing was in January 2006 on the Conquest. Let me start with our experience on 1-22-2012. This ship is great. We were in a spa cabin 12031, absolutely great. The spa rooms are well worth the money. Although the embarkation was less then desirable, due to fog, which no one has control over, once we got to our cabin it was great.

The port has an issue with dense fog, which is beyond the control of anybody (its safety people). I can't imagine the logistical issues Carnival has to deal with when they have to move 7000 people in a compressed time frame of 5 or 6 hours. I think they did a phenomenal job. Read more
