First off, it is important to realise that this was a budget priced cruise, in late January, taken for a much-needed rest. As such, it delivered the goods perfectly.
After a day free in Barcelona, we boarded the Jade at the earliest check-in possible. The cruise terminal was clean, reasonably spacious and super efficient. We were on board in a couple of minutes. No welcoming champagne, but the buffet and diner were open for lunch.
Our balcony cabin was basic, but fine for purpose. Only slight niggle was that the TV was a very small CRT model. Our cabin steward Michael kept everything spotless and tidy.
