Travelled with NCL in 2006 and looked forward to this cruise, to be extremely disappointed. The Jade was a lovely ship, but we had 4 sea days, cool weather and very little to occupy ourselves with. Never had one 'hot' meal in the MDRs (didn't do the cover charges out of principal). 2006 was probably 5 restaurants to choose from with 2 cover charge ones. This has been reversed to 6 with cover charges!!! The drinks were very expensive, and we never had one nice and hot drink, be it tea or coffee. Bearing in mind all the add ons, the service charge was also excessive.

The positive was the shows, which were superb.

Finally, we flight was early evening and we were asked to disembark the ship at 0900 - leaving us with a day to fill, two suitcases and in a dock area??? Not good. In the past we have disembarked according to flight times and though vacated cabin you stayed on the ship until your time to disembark. So this arrangement did not suit us at all.
