This was my first cruise with NCL and after reading the reviews I was a bit sceptical. I was very impressed! Loved the 15 restaurant choices. Some of the included dinners were great, some only good. Buffet not that impressive but I don't care for buffets. We tried the "Taste of India" night and found it was 20 courses for $15 upcharge. It was wonderful but so much food. We tried Teppenyaki and weren't that impressed. Most of those dining with us had never had that style of food and were pleased, but we have a restaurant in our small town that does it as well or better. Don't miss the Blue Lagoon! We waited until the last night to try it and that was a mistake. It's included in your cruise fare. The wings are wonderful. We had the fish and chips and they were fantastic. Also the wonton soup was the best I've ever had. AND have the strawberry pound cake, WOW! The bar next door had raw oysters which we didn't learn until we didn't have time left to try them They were $10.95 dozen.

The entertainment was the best I've experienced on a cruise. Don't miss Elements on Friday night. The show is better than cruise ships and as good as I've seen in Las Vegas. At the end of this show is the promenade of crew and staff and a special night. It's followed by the Chocolate Decadence in Windows. Try to get to the front of the line! This is the most beautiful display I've ever witnessed with ice sculptures, chocolate sculptures and SO much chocolate! They even have chocolate covered gummi bears! I took lots of photos.

The ports left a lot to be desired as they were mostly shopping ports and the areas are so impoverished. I'll take the Eastern Carribean or Alaska any day. This would have been the perfect cruise if I could have had the same cruise ship experience with Alaska's ports.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BB

Balcony cabin a bit smaller than other balcony cabins I've had due to the two feet or so that are removed from the cabin and added to the bathroom for the sliding door that separated the toilet area. I think I'd rather the space be in the cabin as we never closed that door even thought we were two ladies sharing. All in all the cabin was nicely appointed and comfortable. Very comfortable beds.

Hey, all cruise lines - We need the Weather Channel in our rooms! I've never had this and it's always something guests are wondering about weather back home for travel.
