My report on this cruise, is basically for the disabled cruise passengers, but I will try to go in general terms for everyone else interested.

Wife and I arrived in Los Angeles/San Pedro, a day earlier, just to be safe, since we decided to do air transportation on our own. We overnighted in San Pedro Holiday Inn, and with an exception of a nice HP room, I hesitate to say anything positive about the Inn. This includes the dining room and an offer to use "Air & Cruise" shuttle from LAX and back. Not a good idea for handicapped passengers, we had to wait in the rain at least 45 min. for the right van, they were scooting by our WC, as we did not exist. In retrospect, I should have listened to others that a taxi is better and "just a little bit more $$". The next day, another long wait for the Inn Shuttle to the Int'l Pier, but then the good news, we were on board in 10 minutes.

I picked out our HP stateroom C 300 on Internet, Diamond Princess deck plan, but booking, as always, through a local agency. Indeed, there were no disappointments. Our huge pretty cabin, well appointed, plenty of storage cabinets and hangers, small fridge and a large TV. Both, the balcony and the bathroom had a WC ramp. I could easily push my wife's chair over to the balcony, but the door ramp to the bathroom was at the 45 degrees to the rest of the room, it was hard to swing the chair, do the ramp and open the door at the same time. That meant in the middle of the night: "Hon, would you help me with the bathroom door?"...
