Don't get me wrong, we had a great time. The room was very nice and our cabin staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. However, in the restaurants the service was awful, most times we went to the main dining room or Alazar which is a smaller restaurant with more or less the same menu. Usually we didn't wait too long to be seated, but after that it was awful. On one occasion we entered the dining room at 7.10pm and were still waiting for our main course at 8.05pm which meant rushing the rest of our meal to get to the 8.30 show. The waiting staff take your order eventually, get your drinks eventually and then do a sponsored walk to the kitchen and back with the food. The whole system is far too slow with the chef's getting the blame apparently not the fact that there is not enough staff to do all the jobs. The Blue Lagoon was the same even at lunch time the wait was unacceptable. On the other hand if you wish to pay the cover charge for the other restaurants the service was excellent (I wonder why?) NCL add 16.5% "Gratuity" to everything you buy plus 8% European tax when in port, this makes everything very expensive especially when they are charging so much for a beer in the first place. Entertainment is excellent in the theatre but the other entertainment in the Atrium and Bar City was not good, although these people are excellent at what they do it was the same thing every night song by song. Guys and Doll and Soundbites were diabolical every night. We had several days at sea but the only time there was a film on in the lounge was a port day (strange. Rodolfo(Rod) in Tankards was a great guy he knew all his customers by name and was always a happy chappy. The only other thing I would say is that there are naked people in the sauna. you have been warned.

Cabin review: Mid-Ship Inside

The room was small and my husband had to roll onto the bed every time to get around the side because a table was blocking the bottom of the bed (Not very safe in an emergency.

Port and Shore Excursions

We have been there before but I was disappointed at La Ramblas as there was very little going on.
