Don't get me wrong, we had a great time. The room was very nice and our cabin staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. However, in the restaurants the service was awful, most times we went to the main dining room or Alazar which is a smaller restaurant with more or less the same menu. Usually we didn't wait too long to be seated, but after that it was awful. On one occasion we entered the dining room at 7.10pm and were still waiting for our main course at 8.05pm which meant rushing the rest of our meal to get to the 8.30 show. The waiting staff take your order eventually, get your drinks eventually and then do a sponsored walk to the kitchen and back with the food. The whole system is far too slow with the chef's getting the blame apparently not the fact that there is not enough staff to do all the jobs. The Blue Lagoon was the same even at lunch time the wait was unacceptable. On the other hand if you wish to pay the cover charge for the other restaurants the service was excellent (I wonder why?)
