Spirit review

Sail Date: January 2012
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: New Orleans

We had a fantastic time on the Spirit. This was our 3rd time on this ship. Its big enough to have lots to do and small enough to not get lost.
We are from Nashville, TN. This was my 30th cruise and my husband's 25th. We drove to New Orleans the night before and spent the evening on Bourbon Street (big ass beers). The evening was quite warm for Jan. Great time!
We are platinum status and boy was it great. We ended up with 2 speciality restaurant certificates with 2 bottles of wine. We also had a fruit basket and 2 additional bottles of wine delivered to our cabin. We also received free laundry and a behind the scenes tour (if you get the chance be sure and do this).
The ship was so clean and nice and the service and food were very good. We went to LaBistro 2 nights and Shogun for 1. The rest we went to the beautiful windows. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes and they passed out champagne for the wait. Pretty cool huh?
Our first day (sun) was at sea. We More participated in the pub crawl - it was really fun and worth the 25.00. Our 2nd day was Costa Maya. We swam in the pool right off the ship and then took a taxi to the beach. BE sure and go to 100% Agave. I read about this prior to our cruise and we are so glad we went. The food and margaritas are really good. The owner also have us several complimentary shots. Our 3rd day was Honduras. we went on a ship sponsored tour to the beach for snorkeling. Beautiful place and the snorkeling was wonderful. Our 4th day was Belize. I printed off a walking tour and we did our own thing. We felt completely safe. Once you get out of the earshot right outside the gate, the folks will leave you alone. We saw more walking than the tours did as we were able to go into the church for example. Our 5th day was Cozumel. If you only read one thing be sure and go to Natchi Commin. Its an all inclusive that is absolutely beautiful and the highlight of our trip. We were off the ship by 9:00 am and back home by 8:00. We love norwegian line. There was a new female cruise director that we were not to impressed with. Cant wait for our next cruise with Norwegian. Cabin review: Norwegian Spirit 4567

we had an inside cabin on the 4th deck (4567). We love the cabins on 4 as when you come back on the ship, you are already at home. We usually select inside so we can cruise more often.
