Well folks, we just finished our cruise aboard the Carnival Ecstasy yesterday (Jan 26th) and we were both just about crying because the cruise is over with. It was the first cruise for my wife Kyrsten and my 4th cruise (second aboard Carnival). However as the description notes, its been almost 20 years since my last cruise (aboard the Royal Caribbean "Monarch Of The Seas") but the first with Kyrsten. This was a special gift for Kyrsten for our 9th Anniversary.
If you haven't guessed yet, we were elated with how our cruise went to the point where we cried when it was time to get off. But oh for us, it was 5 days of pure couples joy.
I'll break it down here. WARINING, I can be a little long-winded here so read only if you're really interested. You may want to break it it down into separate reading sessions.
We had two portholes, glass could have used some outside cleaning as salt spray hindered our views slightly. Great (and usually invisible) room service, available if you needed them. Rooms were spic n span clean. Air conditioning a little noisy but you could turn it down and it was still comfortable. Beware though the Blue Sapphire Theatre was right above us and you could definitely hear a noisy show. Not a problem though, we were usually at the show.
