Ship Facts: Celebrity Equinox Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Equinox Deck Plans
Ultimate Caribbean Cruise
Our first day we traveled to Fort Lauderdale a couple days ahead, just in case of weather problems. It took us 12 hrs of traveling all together, with stops. We had 3 flights to get there. We arrived in Fort Lauderdale about 9:30pm. We called for the hotel shuttle & it came fairly quick & took us to the Holiday Inn Express on 17th. The hotel is a little older, but clean & basic. The next day we went across the street & shopped at Ross, office depot & dollar tree. We found a grocery store too & bought our Pepsi to take on the ship. Then we took a bus down to the beach boardwalk & walked & shopped. That evening we went to Chuck's Steak House, it was good.

The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel that was included. We had a pancake & some orange juice. We got a taxi to the port and we were on the ship by 11:30am! On our way on to the ship we met our first Cruise Critic friends who recognized us because of my beads I wore. We went to the buffet & ate lunch. We then went to our room. It was a nice room with a balcony. It was an obstructed view, but it really was just a life boat below us, so we had a view still of the ocean! We really liked it for the light we had in our room & also to sit on & enjoy quiet time! We went to a sail away get together at the back of the ship on deck 15 & met some cruise critic friends! We went to the dinning room for dinner, we had early dinning. We were taken to a table for 2. There was another table for 2 beside us. We got talking to the people beside us & ended up having our tables put together for the rest of the cruise. We went to the show that night. It was ok.

The next day was at sea. We had breakfast in the buffet. We then went to our Cruise Critic Meet & Greet. It was nice. We met some people we had chatted online with & then some others. We ate in the dinning room for lunch. We played trivia and then went to the Corning Glass Show!!! How amazing to have a Glass Show on a ship! We really enjoyed it! We then had a dip in the solarium pool & hot tub. Then we got ready for formal night.

The next day was another day at sea. It was hot & beautiful. We sat on our balcony & saw dolphins. We relaxed. Went to a scrapbooking class. Had dinner, then went to the show. It was an excellent show with Craig Dahn, He is a great Pianist!

The next day we were in St. Thomas. We got up by 8am got breakfast & headed off the ship. We saw a man I had met on cruise critic & we joined him & his group, got a taxi van & went to Sapphire Beach. It is a beautiful beach. We snorkeled & then sat on the beach. Around 12:30 we all took a taxi back to the ship. We had lunch in the buffet. Then we went on the sky ride to Paradise Point. There is a beautiful view from there. We wandered around & saw a few animals. It is close to the port so we shopped a bit on our way back to the ship.We then went to dinner & after we went to the glass blowing show. They had a free raffle & I won a beautiful platter!!

The next day was St. Kitts. We were going to go to a beach, but it poured rain for a while, so we just did some shopping near the port. We were so tired, we went back to the ship & ordered room service for lunch. It was good. We rested & we didn't go to the dinning room that night we just went and got a cheeseburger, fries & ice cream. They had hard & soft ice cream on board & toppings too!

Barbados was a beautiful hot day. We went on a private tour we had booked ahead of time with Shasa Catamaran. This was the highlight of our trip! We snorkeled with Turtles!!! We also snorkeled coral reefs & a shipwreck! We went back to the ship for lunch, then back off to do some shopping & make some phone calls home.

Dominica we got up early & had room service for breakfast. It was hot & good. We met with some Cruise Critics that had arranged for a tour with Reynold tours.

We went to the emerald pool, Trafalgar Falls and a sulphur spring. It is very lush and green. The only thing was that the van was small & you couldn't see out the windows well. Also it was winding & bumpy roads.

St. Martin another beautiful hot day! We took the water taxi to Philipsburg & shopped, found some flea markets and had lunch looking out at the water. We had dinner in the buffet and we went to the Glass show again, it is so awsome!

We then had 2 days at sea to relax before the long trip home.

We really enjoyed our cruise!
