We went on the Weezer cruise from January 19-23. Because it was a theme cruise, many of the typical cruise activities were not going on, which was fine with us. My fiance and I spent our time checking out the bands and playing in the casino, lounging on the deck in between.

The staff was phenomenal. American Airlines lost one of our bags en route from Dallas to Miami, so we figured we were going to have to sort it out when we got back. The airline told us we could try to get it when we got to our port in Cozumel, but we figured we were in for a bigger headache. We told guest services what was going on and asked for their advice on what to do, and they took care of EVERYTHING. They coordinated with the airline so that the bag would be in Cozumel on Saturday, then arranged for a representative from the ship to go get it. We were still skeptical that this would work out. In the meantime, they gave us vouchers for free laundry service and a discount in the shop to buy toiletries and clothes. On Saturday morning, we checked with them and they said they had already checked and our suitcase had not arrived at the airport yet. Later on, they called to say it had gotten there and a representative was on the way to get it. I was very impressed with the sense of urgency they handled a problem that was not their fault and their willingness to do everything they could to make sure we had a great time on our vacation. Absolutely above and beyond great customer service!!!!

We spent a lot of time in the casino, mostly playing blackjack. The dealers were all fun to give our money to, and the floor managers were really friendly as well. A couple of dealers taught me the concept of craps on a slow afternoon, which was no easy task for them. I'm still a little confused by it, but they were really fun to joke around with and seemed like they were having a good time, too.

Cabin Review

We were on the 8th floor next to the stairs and elevator on a band cruise with a bunch of people, mostly 18-40 and there was never a time that we were bothered by any noise. We loved having a private balcony; seeing the great expanse of ocean was really nice.

Our bathroom came with tons of toothpaste samples, a bar of soap, shower gel, and shampoo. I recommend bringing your own toiletries, the shampoo and shower gel were not very good.

Ladies, if you blow dry your hair, the blow dryers in the room are the weird vacuum hose looking kind. They do a good enough job, but if you're fussy, bring your own.
