First time cruise worries were soon gone once onboard the Freedom of the Seas. the kids had plenty to but spent most of their time at the pool. We bought the soda drinks package which menat we had the refill station beside us at the pool and the girls were constantly going for "sprinkles" the icecream trolley at the poolside which was complimentary. We only ate in the Galileo restaurant 2 eventings as we much preferred the relaxed stylr of the Windjammer and also the buffet style dining was great for the kids.

I am sorry we only got to see 2 shows as they were very good!! Our daughters did everything on board - ice skating, wall climbing, flow rider and went to the arcade games room a couple of evenings. Plenty for them to do.

We bought an excursion throuhg oyal Carribean for each of the 4 destinations which wa costly but we enjoyed them all. As first time cruisers we were wary of buying tours on the island especially with kids but will probably the next time More as they are half the price!

Our room was very small - that is the only negative about the cruise. We booked through a travel agent who assigned us a couble room with the kids bed above ours - if we had known we would have booked adjoining rooms at extra cost.

alan the cruise director kept everyone well informed of events on board and was very entertaining at pool side and evening shows.

all in all great cruise food, weather, atmosphere all fantastic will defin cruise again. Less

Port and Shore Excursions

Great snorkelling - saw eagle ray, turtles, fish...drinks all included on board and lunch. Follwed by a beach break after which also included free use of catamarans, kayak, water inflatables etc. The best tour of all the ports and the staff were the friendliest ever.

Went to Good Hope Estate - the old house was beautiful. Once back in Port went walking into Falmouth town which was great for bargain shopping and some of the real flavour of Jamaica

Booked stingray city through RC - expensive (get it for half price on island) and the boat was very slow. It took up all our shore time which wasn't a lot to begin with - only 10am to 3.30pm. But stingray city itself was good and our daughters enjoyed the interaction and even kissed the stingray!
