We have cruised the Carib three times, the Horn, the Med, the Baltics and Alaska once each. Cruised with 4 different lines. This time, we were originally in the back of the ship and requested a mid ship cabin if available. Princess met our request and that was much appreciated. The Princess staff were very helpful and accomodating.
This itinerary is fantastic - two weeks with only two days at sea. All of the islands are interesting - some more than others. I can never complain about cruise food - and lots of variety on this cruise as well. The food was fine. As an aside, I can never understand people complaining about food on a major cruise -what are you eating at home ? The selection is incredible on every cruise I have been on. Dining varies cruise ship to cruise ship - just like restaurant to restaurant.
Nora was a fantastic room attendant, second room attendent could use some work (ety trash, replace shampoo, replace water, replace ice, clean shower drain.
Ryan and Kenny and ?(sorry)? were great at the wine and tapa bar. Christopher is a fine barista. Buffet staff were hit and miss - right up the to the maitre d's. We totally avoided the dining rooms this time - don't ask me why. We enjoyed the pizza - very good, like our favorite in Rome (Via Nazionale East).
Entertainment was mid line. Not much into the review shows. Bars were good. Bar staff were good. Ship shows its age to some degree but no serious complaints.
All the lounge chair claiming is a bit tiresome - throw a towel at 8am and claim the chair all day. The new No Smoking enforcement needs lots of work. Smokers forced to the walking deck - the walking deck on the major lounging deck - it all doesn't work if you want to do laps.
All in All --- 3.5 out of 5 --- Very Good.
