This is not a short report- there was so very much to describe.
We are a party of two adults- 55 plus. We never cruised before together and he never. I did many years ago with children. We both land travel extensively. And we do it all ways, and are not always used to a high level of comfort. Keep that it mind when you read my take on things in general. Embarking was crowded, but swift. Remember to bring a pencil or pen, as you have to fill out papers for the Bahamas(Princess Cay)without any warning and at the last minute. We were on the ship and free to roam by 2:45pm. We did not take the transfer as we arrived on our own quite easily after a two day stay in Fort Lauderdale. Luggage was supposed to arrive shortly. Luggage arrived at the stateroom around 6:30pm.
Stateroom was terrific, IMHO. We had C710 on Caribe deck (10) with balcony. It was aft and in an excellent location about 40 feet from an elevator that exited adjacent to the Horizon Court- 3 floors above. Our steward Rose was terrific and got us robes right away (one was minus its belt, and I did ask for this and it is the only thing that she ever forgot. I liked the room, although friends of ours complained about their beds and linen, as they were 7 times Princess cruisers and said it was not what was on Princess previously. The blanket was nubby, but I thought both were fine. They are definitely not 4 star/ Westin quality though. I have trouble sleeping at times, and never had any trouble on this ship. Not noisy, and the mattress is on the firm side, but that's ok by me.
