We flew into FLL on January 6 and stayed at Embassy Suites due to their close proximity to necessary cruise "provisions". Hotel was nice enough and breakfast the next morning was edible.

January 7 embarkation was a breeze, as usual. We went straight to our room and dropped off our carry-on luggage. This was our very first time to cruise without a balcony and I had my doubts! We actually ended up enjoying it and wouldn't hesitate to book another inside cabin dependent upon the itinerary. We headed up to the Terrace Grill to grab a burger and people watch, which is always fun. When we returned to the room we met our room steward, Cristian. He was an outstanding steward, the best we've had on Princess, and that's saying a lot because we've always had excellent stewards, with the exception of one, and that one wasn't bad, he was only average. Our bags and "provisions" had arrived and we got unpacked.

January 8 was Princess Cays. The weather was nice and warm, but the water was a bit cool and we only got in up to our waist before we chickened out. We laid out for a while and then went back to the ship. This night we went to the Princess Theater and saw the comedian Al Katz. His show was very good.

Cabin Review

Cabin I

Some noise from the Terrace Pool deck and the door slamming, but it didn't really bother us.
