Ship Facts: Costa Classica Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Costa Classica Deck Plans
Far East Costa Classica - go with other company
Are flight was with Emirates and it was high class for a long journey(London Heathrow-Dubai-Singapore). What a great start of holiday.

Transfers and boarding all smooth.

But the Costa Classica I would say 2 not 5 star holiday we did it because the itinerary and that's all we got.

ON FOOD:

The greatest disappointment was the food. Even on the gala nights was far from good. The Christmas lobster was stuffed with fish(where was my lobster?), all desserts where not freshly made (not even fruit salad). From 4-5pm there was tea time(sandwich and cakes) no food option after that, if you came back to the ship after the trip we had to wait till 8:30 for are dinner sitting. Considering fact that you had to rush every morning to have breakfast (only till 10am), fight for a table in a buffet style restaurant-that looked more like a canteen. And then spend rest of the day away from the ship exploring, what we paid for holidays was a robbery.

ON ALCOHOL:

It was not aloud on board. If you buy some it will be taken away almost by force to be return as you disembark. Liquors bought on board shop will be kept for you safely till you disembark. So I can hardly call that a luxury, being treated like we at youth camp. After all service charge we paid

you would think you will be treated with respect but guess what? We where on Italian cruise ship.

ON ENTERTIMENT:

Overall good, opera singers ouch, but I don't think Costa Classica have a lobby to welcome New Year and the dance floor can only fit 10 pars. I can only say, we might have missed the party.

ON SERVICE CHARGE:

Service charge added to the bill is MANDATORY and will not rich THE STUFF because they are on monthly pay. Never receive they bonus pay, because they are not hitting the 100% target of guests satisfaction (so no Christmas bonus either). And 15% service charge with every drink order. So tip Stuff separate.

ON STAFF:

They have been wonderful, working so hard away from they families,

we traveled during Christmas and New Year. They worked even when sea sick.

no exceptions on tender tickets, disabled or dress code at gala dinners.

On excursions-don't pre-book check it out when you get there.

I have to say we are easily pleased, and we read reviews before we left and did not believe.

Take you own travel guide with you. Most of the ports are long distance away from the towns so you will need a taxi.

They give you anti sickness tablets at information desk free, but you better take you Prozac with you.

If you decide to go any way, good luck to you. You will need to get on a last tender boat back to the ship:)
