My sister and myself have just returned from Azamara Quest's trip to Asia. We flew Glasgow to Singapore and stayed the night at Conrad Centennial Hotel 1 night then boarded Azamara Quest. On arrival were delighted to be upgraded from 3rd to 4th deck. From then until our departure 14 nights later we were given the utmost service from the staff, wonderful food especially Discovery restaurant and sampled Prime C on our 1st night at sea, exceptional fillet steaks lobster and crab. We enjoyed the trips ashore in Vietnam particularly Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi an and again the guides were professional and friendly.I feel we will have to visit Bangkok again as we did so many temples etc we did not spend enough time shopping for bargains. I would like to mention Abigail guest relations, handled our many queries so efficiently and always with a smile. The same to the bar staff of the Mosaic lounge. The entertainment staff, Russ Cruise Director and Jim(Pianist) Badger whom we never missed a night as his sense of humour had us all laughing, even when we were on the receiving end of his comments. Last but not least to Captain Carl who kept us safe and well informed throughout, stopping to chat to all the passengers.I would recommend this ship and trip to anyone who likes new places, faces, excellent food and fine wines which were included in the price.

Cabin review: Club Oceanview Stateroom

Great location for lifts guest services etc.Quiet with least movement. Bathroom small with shower only.Would book this cabin again.

Port and Shore Excursions

We chose to do a tour on the 2nd day as having travelled so far wanted to rest until then. We visited Kings Palace Emerald Buddha etc but feel a shorter trip would have been better as we had wanted to shop but had little time left following the tour
Nothing to say except get out to Hoi an wonderful time visited marble factory ate lunch at Cargo, asked a tailor to make a dress, skirt (suede) 3 pairs linen trousers silk jacket and all were delivered to ship 2.30. hours later and were perfect.Although fairly small walked along the markets and visited a taoist temple.

Halong bay not Hanoi but unable to see this choice. This was like a building site so much work being done roads muddy and as arrived on Sunday little open. We did a tour on the Monday which made up for the disappointment, through the volcanic islands to the caves which were amazing. You have to be fairly fit as a hundred steps to climb but worth the effort.

What a vibrant city, did a tour here which was excellent. Took our life in our hands as we visited the night market crossing the roads, thousands of motorbikes and as you cross they just go around you. Takes a leap of faith but it works.
Another amazing city as we docked the skyline looked very futuristic, the height of the buildings and so modern. We took our final tour here to the Peak magnificent views over Hong Kong.Onto Aberdeen and sailed around the harbour amongst yachts and boat people drying their fish on a washing line. The rich and poor living side by side. Next stop Stanley Market famous bu I felt better bargains elsewhere
Embarked here which was handled very efficiently.Well worth a visit, beautiful orchids, extremely clean,
