Caution: This review is lengthy and may require beverage or bathroom breaks.

If you are looking for negative comments about Royal Caribbean, don't bother reading the rest of this review - you won't find any. This was our second cruise on RCCL (3rd overall), and this was the best one yet. I also won't go into great detail regarding the ship itself; you can find that all over the internet. I will say everything was spotlessly clean, and the ship truly is beautiful. Our family consisted of husband and wife, son(16) and daughter(15), friend (16).

Embarkation: The Serenade sails from San Juan at 10PM. Our flight (arranged by RCCL) got us into San Juan at 1:30 PM. People were already boarding. Embarkation took five minutes for most; it took us 10 minutes because of a slight mistake probably made by our travel agent (we received a $50 credit on our charge card in January, then were told at registration we owed $50). This may have had something to do with having two cabins. Upon boarding the ship we were greeted by members of the ship's crew, offered some complimentary beverages. We headed for our cabins (7166 and 7168), port, aft). No luggage yet (it arrived about 5PM),so we headed for the Windjammer, had a nice buffet lunch, then returned to our cabins and put on swimsuits (wisely packed in our carry-ons) and headed for the pools.
