This was my second cruise with RCCL, we sailed on 2-24 on a four day to Cozumel and Key West. The first was in '97 on the Sovereign of the Seas. I've sailed many times on Carnival and NCL.

This ship was beautiful and did not look like it's about to get a face lift. I really loved all the natural colors and textures. A lot of hard wood, glass and chrome used throughout the ship. This line, The Vision Class ships, has a lot of glass, windows everywhere. Very nice. The Centrum (Atrium) was beautiful, of course and was the most used atrium of nay ship I've ever been on. In the dinner hours you could always head to the atrium to mix and mingle. Lots of energy there. We chose a Junior Suite on this cruise at the back of the ship. The balcony was larger than those in a balcony cabin and the room was a very nice size, but didn't seem much larger than those in the balcony cabins. I was certainly impressed with the amount of storage space for toiletries, jewelry, etc. Lots of mirrors as well. Two outlets and they do provide a blow dryer. In the JS, there is a shower with the Tub base. Nice sized bathroom. We asked for robes and gave our Steward, Deryk,$10 and he brought them no problem.

Dining -- We ordered room service for breakfast every morning but the last, it's not available the last morning only the dining room 6:30 - 8:30am and the windjammer 6:30-9am. Room Service was great. We, for whatever reason, always had the same girl who delivered our order. The croissants were ok. The coffee on the ship, oh and the iced tea, are both very good. Strong and flavorful. Everything else for breakfast was good. So was the food in the windjammer on the last day. They have a great selection up there for lunch and breakfast. Breakfast- Scrambled eggs, sausage (pork and turkey), bacon, hash, a cereal station which included dry cereal choices and oatmeal and granola, yogurt, etc. There was an omelette station and and waffles, pancakes and french toast with whipped cream and strawberry topping, also cheeses and cut meats lots of fresh fruit and more I can't remember. In the windjammer there was pre-poured orange juice, milk and water then they came around with trolleys filling your drinks up, your coffee, etc. At lunch it was water, iced tea and lemonade. Lunch- The main courses changed everyday, and I only really remember what I had, but there was so much more. Everyday there was salad (good greens too, not just iceberg) with lots of topping choices and 5-6 dressings, also fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, bread and rolls, and a great sandwich or wrap station. Fresh sandwiches and wraps with choices of turkey, ham, tuna and roast beef. The things that changed daily were like, fried chicken, ribs, rice with beef topping, etc. All very good. Then there were desserts, about 6 to choose from with sugar-free options as well. Dinner in the dining room was nice. We got a 2-top on the 2nd floor over looking the floor below (table 41). Our waitstaff was Maurice and Allyn. They were great! Even the Head wait was at our table every night, which was a change from past cruises where I never even met the head wait a lot of the time. Nice difference. They sang and/or danced 3 of 4 nights. No flaming Baked Alaska, but it was on the menu the last night. They did flaming cherries jubilee instead. The food was good, not the best I've had, but very good. The steaks were good, shrimp cocktail on formal night. Always 3 main dessert choices then ice cream too. The bar service came around at the end for dinner with after dinner shots in 'loving cups'. A different pre-made shot every night. Most consisted of liquors like Baileys, frangelico, amaretto, etc. Yum!
