On embarkation was a little worried when staff were removing some type of engine on deck twelve, wheeling it down the passage way on a pallet, but a couple of glasses of champagne and all forgotten and ready for a great cruise.
The staff were exceptional, housekeeping the best.
Although the ship was full with 1800 passengers it was very comfortable.
The ship provided a feel of that old world charm.
Our cabin was comfortable, great storage. Century interiors were immaculate, there are sign of wear and tear outside but on the whole the Century is in excellent condition
Murano - simply great,superb food.
Christmas morning was great for Kids on the ship with Santa's appearance, however the rest of the Day was somewhat left to your own resources, no special Christmas Lunch and even Christmas night in the dining room roast turkey was placed on the menu that's it. As century has a reputation of exceptional meals we were expecting something great for this special day as on booking the Cruise, we were told how wonderful XMAS would be.
The buffet lunch that was held three days later was great however many passengers were unaware of this event.
As we are pool lovers, this ship probably didnt do it for us, the water temperature was quite low which was quite evident by the lack of use throughout the cruise.
The "rainbow" drinks each evening was a disappointment as no one showed on the occasions we went down to mingle.
To be quite frank the advertising for events on the ship were quite poor to other cruises. There were quite a few people on the ship who had missed things or were not aware of events. Yes there is a daily schedule, but it just missed the spot.
The Cruise and ports were great, we will travel again on Celebrity probably try Solstice.
