As Super Mario says, this ship is one of the best in RCI's fleet! Liberty is certainly a very well maintained vessel! We cruised on Liberty last February and again this January, overall we are very well pleased. I actually prefer the cabins on Liberty over cabins on Allure...as they are MUCH LARGER! Oh my word... our MUSTER DRILL was horrible!! A very cruel and uncharacteristic cold snap arrived the morning of our departure....20 mph winds and temps in low 50s. Our muster station was OUTSIDE near the pool deck... and the staff said NO change of location or provision would made for the ridiculously cold temperatures. We were forced to stand OUTSIDE in the cold/wind for over 20 minutes. The last time we sailed on Liberty in Feb 2011, we electronically "mustered" from one of the dining rooms; not sure why that couldn't be done this time? The Allure allows electronic mustering as well; SO MUCH BETTER!!

The food in the main dining room was again exceptional, and room service was great as always. The Windjammer, on the other hand, presents a cattle herd of buffet lovers seemingly content with "quantity over quality."

Our superior ocean view balcony cabin was spacious and the cabin steward Finster did a fine job keeping our room impeccably clean. Elevators were always an issue; often had to ride up to go down and usually completely filled. Typically a ten minute journey to the dining room (6 floors down).

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

Great balcony and spacious room. One caveat ... the Windjammer is one level above this cabin...so we frequently heard carts rolling across our ceiling/their floor. It is also located across from crew access, but we were never disturbed by that. There was a smoking neighbor or two from nearby balconies, which in my opinion is unacceptable. Smoking should ONLY be in designated smoking areas, not on balconies. Passengers aren't even allowed to bring travel irons, but they can smoke cigarettes and use lighters/matches??? Makes no sense to me!
