Let me start this story by teling you this was one holiday of a lifetime for us. We decided as a birthday gift to bring my mum to hawaii so myself my fiance and mum decided to book a room on board the POA for 1 week 26th November 2011. From the reviews at first i have to admit that i was scared i had paid alot of money for an itinary to include hawaii Vegas and LA and had spent all year saving and planning and was so worried that it was going to be a let down my god if i had known what to expect i wouldnt have spent that time worrying!
On SAT 26TH Nov we flew from LAX -HNL with hawian airways they were fantastic great staff and flight was pretty good considering that we had flewn from Ireland to La the night prior which was 11 Hours 50 Min we flew that with Air Newzealand which were the best airline i ever flew with.
On arrival into HNL we arrived by the way 2 hours earlier than our tranfer that was booked- we booked with ROBERTS and the cost was only $7 per person to get to the pier, the nice represtative kindly phoned a bus who collected us straight away which meant we could board the ship earlier than planned and didt have to wait around at the airport.
Our stateroom was 7644 being there was 3 of us me and my fiance took the double bed which was bigger than normal and my mum took the sofa bed which she said was so comfortbale and had no complaints. The room had a lovely balcony we had the lifeboats to the right of the room but to be honest in no way shape or form did this effect our views we had amazing views and the screen between rooms meant we didnt see the people in the next state room. we had the usual mini bar what i loved we didnt have to pay for the hairdryer - on Royal carribean we had to pay for the usage of it but here it was included.
We had loads of space for all 3 of our clothes and dresses in the wardrobes and mum didnt have to worry about the sofa bed as our assistance done all this for us, they made animal towels every day for us and our room was spotless our balcony was very spacious we fit 3 chairs and a table out on it and remember if you book this room you are port side aft which means you get to see the Napoli coast from your room :)
